Social Events

We are delighted to invite you to join our special social program in Brașov, offering a unique opportunity to discover the medieval charm, rich history, and cultural heritage of one of Romania’s most beautiful cities. The walking tour will take you through the historic heart of Brașov, combining impressive fortifications, architectural landmarks, picturesque streets, and panoramic views.

Here’s the itinerary for the day:
11 AM: Starting point – Livada Poștei, next to the "George Barițiu" County Library. Please arrive a few minutes early to ensure a prompt departure.
11 AM – 2 PM Walking tour – approx. 4 km. The route is of easy to moderate difficulty and includes pedestrian streets, historic cobblestone pavement, and pleasant promenade areas.

During the tour, we will discover:
• "După Ziduri" Promenade, Black Tower & White Tower – a scenic walk along the Graft stream, followed by a gentle ascent to the historic defensive towers and their spectacular views over the Old Town.

• Catherine’s Gate – the only original medieval city gate still preserved today, distinguished by its four small corner turrets, symbolizing the medieval Jus Gladii.

• Weavers’ Bastion – one of Brașov’s best-preserved medieval fortifications and an outstanding example of military architecture.

• Neolog Synagogue – an opportunity to learn about the cultural diversity of Brașov and the fascinating history of the city’s Jewish community.

• Rope Street (Strada Sforii) – one of Europe’s narrowest streets and a former emergency passage for medieval firefighters, offering a unique photo opportunity.

• Council Square (Piața Sfatului) & Black Church – the historic heart of Brașov, where we will explore the heritage of the Saxon merchants and admire the Black Church, one of the most significant Gothic monuments in Eastern Europe.

Reservation

A reservation fee of 50 RON/person is required in order to participate in the social event. Please note that this fee does not include entrance tickets to the tourist attractions visited along the route. Any entrance fees will be paid separately by participants where applicable.

Lunch is also not included in the reservation fee and will be paid individually by each participant.
